I fixed it by running setup in Windows and selecting all the default information for the plain SoundBlaster card (16). The only other thing you can do is download VDM SOUND (do a google search).
So if your CD drive is set to E: then it would read CD=E: remember to change the bit at top which says CD=G: to whichever drive your cd drive is mounted as in DOSBOX. Go to the CONFIG file in INTRPLAYSTONKEEP, make a backup copy, then edit the original file using notepad.Įnter the following in place of the existing info: Again, these forums do not allow backslash characters.īackslash character is a line top left running diagonally down to the bottom right (the reverse of the one on the ? key) Also, make sure there is a backslash after the CD=G: at the top. Those listed items where meant to have been on separate lines - these forums chuck everything on the same line. Can I run the CD on DOSbox somehow, or do I have to download the game from somewhere. I've downloaded DOSbox for windows and I still have the original Stonekeep CD.
Some Game Trainers are sometimes reported to be a Virus or Trojan, the most common is a keylogger called HotKeysHook or the file has been packed/protected with VMProtect or Themida and is recognized as Win32/Packed.VMProtect or Win32/, I suck at computers, but I really love this game and want to get it working. In most cases using a No-CD or Fixed EXE will solve this problem! Some original games do not work when a certain application has been installed, like DAEMON Tools. When using Fixed Files make sure to use a Firewall which controls outgoing traffic, as some games call back to report the use of these modified files!. When this happens use the original EXE to play online, else you could find yourself banned from the game! Some No-CD/Fixed EXE files work fine in Single Player mode but are detected to be modified when trying to play online. Always make a backup of the files that are overwritten by the File Archive, as the original files are usually required to update the game to a newer version or to play Online!.
